Privacy Notice

Who we are

AA Info is an editorial site published from the United Kingdom at https://aawebsites.co.uk/. This privacy notice explains what limited data we collect, why, and what your rights are under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

Server access logs contain your IP address, requested URL, referring URL, user agent and timestamp. Logs are retained for 30 days for security-monitoring purposes and are then deleted. We do not set advertising cookies. We do not use third-party analytics scripts that transmit user-identifying information off-site.

Cookies

The site uses a small number of strictly-necessary technical cookies to remember session state. It does not use tracking cookies or profiling cookies. Full details are on the cookies page.

Where we process personal data at all, we do so under the "legitimate interests" basis (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) - specifically, the legitimate interest in operating a functional, secure website. Where you contact us by email, we process the content of your email under the same basis, plus your consent implied by initiating the correspondence.

Third parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with our hosting provider (necessary for the site to operate) and, if required, with law enforcement acting under a lawful request. No advertising networks receive data from this site.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection under UK GDPR. To exercise any of these, write to the editorial address on the contact page. If you are dissatisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Retention

Server logs are deleted after 30 days. Email correspondence is retained for two years, unless a longer retention period is necessary for a specific dispute or correction record. Cookie preferences are stored for 6 months where set.
